Turning Aspiration into Achievement: Bivash Mondal’s Goat Farming Journey
Bivash Mondal, a young 25-year-old from a remote village in West Bengal, hails from an agricultural family. Despite limited resources, he completed his education up to the Higher Secondary level, harboring dreams of building a better life for himself and his family.
Two years ago, Bharatiya Jana Seva Mission recognized Bivash’s potential and provided him with skill training in goat farming. Along with the training, our organization supported him in designing a small commercial goat farm, starting with just 35 goats for breeding purposes.
Bivash’s journey from a novice to a successful goat farmer is nothing short of inspiring. With determination and hard work, he gradually expanded his farm, and today, he proudly manages a thriving goatery with 93 goats. His farm now generates a steady income through the sale of goat kids and fully-grown goats, improving not only his financial status but also contributing to the local economy.
Bivash Mondal’s success story is a testament to the transformative impact of Bharatiya Jana Seva Mission’s initiatives, empowering rural youth to turn their aspirations into reality.
