Supporting Wild Birds Through Sustainable Conservation

On 27 June 2026, Bharatiya Jana Seva Mission successfully organized the “Back to Nest” initiative in West Bengal, India, with a primary focus on wild bird conservation and wildlife conservation.

As part of the initiative, eco-friendly birdhouses made from recyclable materials were installed on carefully selected trees to provide safe and secure nesting spaces for wild birds affected by urbanization, deforestation, and habitat loss. By creating artificial nesting habitats, the program supports the survival and breeding of native bird species while contributing to the protection of local ecosystems.

The initiative highlights the importance of conserving wild birds as an essential part of preserving biodiversity and maintaining ecological balance. Every birdhouse installed represents a meaningful step toward protecting wildlife, restoring natural habitats, and encouraging communities to participate in environmental stewardship.
