Celebrates Bengali New Year with Tree Plantation

Let the Bond of Trees Awaken New Life – A Green Beginning to Bengali New Year 1432
On the auspicious first day of Bengali New Year 1432 (April 15, 2025), Bharatiya Jana Seva Mission made a meaningful beginning by organizing a fruit-bearing tree plantation drive at North 24 Parganas District, West Bengal. Driven by the commitment – “Let the bond of trees awaken new life” – the initiative aimed to promote sustainability, food security, and a cleaner environment.
This symbolic act of planting trees like mango and other native fruit varieties marks our long-term commitment towards climate resilience and community welfare. Local volunteers, farmers, women beneficiaries, and youth joined hands to take part in the plantation, reflecting a shared vision for a greener tomorrow.
Through such steps, Bharatiya Jana Seva Mission seeks to integrate environment-conscious practices with rural development. Our tree plantation drives are not just ceremonial events, but an integral part of our yearly environmental and livelihood action plan. These trees will not only contribute to ecological balance but will also support marginalized communities with future fruit yield, thereby enhancing nutrition and income.
As we move forward, we continue to stay committed to our annual goal of planting 1 lakh trees by the end of 2025. With every tree, we plant hope, healing, and harmony with nature.
