Back to Nest Initiative by Bharatiya Jana Seva Mission | Eco-Friendly Bird Nest Installation Program Report

Bharatiya Jana Seva Mission successfully organized and completed the “Back to Nest – Welcoming the Wings Home” initiative on 20 January 2026, at North 24 Paraganas , West Bengal, India , reaffirming its commitment to environmental protection and biodiversity conservation. The program was designed with the objective of restoring safe habitats for birds while promoting harmony between humans and nature.

As part of the initiative, eco-friendly bird nests were carefully installed on trees in selected locations. These nests were made from natural and sustainable materials, ensuring they were safe for birds and environmentally responsible. The activity aimed to address the growing loss of natural nesting spaces caused by urbanization, deforestation, and climate change.

Volunteers of Bharatiya Jana Seva Mission actively participated in the program, spreading awareness about the importance of protecting bird life and preserving green spaces. The initiative highlighted the message that every nest matters and every tree counts, emphasizing that even small actions can lead to meaningful environmental impact.

The “Back to Nest” program not only contributed to creating secure shelters for birds but also encouraged the community to take responsibility for nature conservation. Through this initiative, the Mission inspired citizens to adopt eco-friendly practices and remain mindful of the delicate balance of the ecosystem.

Bharatiya Jana Seva Mission continues to work towards sustainable development and environmental welfare. The success of the “Back to Nest” initiative stands as a testament to the organization’s vision of nurturing nature and welcoming our feathered friends back home.
