Shri Chandan Roy is a highly respected vocalist, composer, and teacher with more than five decades of dedication to Indian music. He began his musical training under Shri Debendranath Biswas and later received intensive Dhrupad training from Shri Jogendranath Bandopadhyay. His artistic journey was further enriched under the guidance of eminent maestros such as Smt. Kheya Chattopadhyay, Shri Manabendra Mukhopadhyay, Shri Biman Mukhopadhyay, Shri Bimal Bhandari, and Shri Salil Bhowmik.

An accomplished exponent of Classical, Semi-Classical, Dhrupad, Ragpradhan, Nazrul Geeti, and Modern Bengali music, Shri Roy is known for his versatility as a vocalist, lyricist, and composer. With over 50 years of teaching experience, he has shaped and inspired generations of performers and music educators.

As a valued member of the Arts & Culture Advisory Board of Bharatiya Jana Seva Mission, he plays a vital role in guiding its cultural initiatives, including Bharatiya Kala Vikash Kendra, contributing deep artistic insight, discipline, and a commitment to nurturing expressive and confident artists.
