Sustainable Development Through Tree Plantation

Sustainable Development Through Tree Plantation

In a significant step towards sustainable development through tree plantation in West Bengal, India , Bharatiya Jana Seva Mission successfully organized a large-scale plantation drive on 26th July 2025 along the riverbank areas of North 24 Parganas , West Bengal, India.

This impactful initiative, part of our ongoing Tree Plantation Program, was strategically focused on environmentally fragile zones inhabited by underprivileged families. Our objective was not only to increase the region’s green cover but also to promote sustainable development by addressing environmental challenges like soil erosion, flood risks, and loss of biodiversity.

Through the planting of native saplings, we aim to create long-term ecological stability, improve climate resilience, and support local communities who are most vulnerable to environmental degradation. This tree plantation drive reflects our deep-rooted belief that environmental care is essential for both human well-being and sustainable livelihoods.

We are deeply grateful to our volunteers, community leaders, and local residents who actively participated and made this mission a success. Their collective effort plays a vital role in achieving our vision of sustainable, community-driven environmental development.
