Program Update: Tree Plantation Drive in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India – June 2025

On 2nd June 2025, Bharatiya Jana Seva Mission organized a Tree Plantation Drive in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal as part of our ongoing commitment to environmental conservation and community development. This initiative focused on planting Mango and other fruit-bearing trees along vulnerable riverbank areas inhabited by underprivileged communities.

The objective of the plantation was twofold: to prevent soil erosion caused by river water and to support rural livelihoods through future fruit harvests. The planted trees not only contribute to ecological balance but also offer long-term economic value to the community by enhancing food security and creating income opportunities.

This drive is part of our broader mission to combat climate change, promote biodiversity, and encourage sustainable living. The program was successfully executed with the support of local volunteers, youth groups, and community members, demonstrating collective responsibility toward nature.

Bharatiya Jana Seva Mission, recognized as one of the top environmental NGOs in India, continues to lead impactful initiatives across West Bengal. We aim to plant 1 lakh trees in 2025 as part of our climate action roadmap.
