Urban Beautification & Climate Action through Gifting Trees
The “Urban Beautification & Climate Action through Gifting Trees” initiative is a dynamic program by Bharatiya Jana Seva Mission, aiming to enhance urban landscapes while fostering environmental sustainability. This program not only beautifies urban areas but also promotes community engagement, creating a greener, more vibrant environment for future generations.
On 10th August , 2024 , we successfully conducted a tree gifting event at the Jessore Road side barricade area under the Barasat Municipal Area, North 24 Parganas District. This effort was part of our ongoing commitment to climate action and urban beautification. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the community, including residents from various wards of Barasat Municipality.
Key Objectives:
- Enhance Urban Aesthetics: Transforming urban spaces into greener and more appealing environments through strategic tree planting.
- Promote Climate Action: Contributing to climate change mitigation by increasing green cover and improving air quality.
- Support Biodiversity: Creating habitats for urban wildlife and promoting ecological balance.
